Waysim plans are for personal use on your own smartphone or tablet while you travel. Our prices depend on normal travel use, so breaking these rules can lead to reduced speed, suspension or cancellation without replacement or credit.
1. Allowed
- Using a plan on one consumer smartphone or tablet that supports eSIM.
- Sharing data from your phone as a personal hotspot with your own devices or travel companions.
- Using messaging and calling apps over data (for example, WhatsApp or Telegram).
2. Not allowed
- Using a plan in routers, mobile Wi-Fi devices, dongles, modems, IoT devices, SIM boxes or other non-phone equipment.
- Reselling, renting out or redistributing plans or data, or using them for any commercial service, without our written consent.
- Using a plan as a long-term replacement for a local mobile service in one country instead of temporary travel connectivity.
- Automated, bot or continuous background traffic that is not normal personal use, or any activity that harms network stability.
- Illegal activity, fraud, spam, attacks on networks or systems, or infringing other people's rights.
- Use in or for the benefit of sanctioned countries, territories or persons.
3. Unlimited and day-pass plans
Unlimited and day-pass plans have a daily high-speed allowance shown on the plan page. After you use it, speed is reduced (for example, to 1 Mbps) until the allowance resets. This keeps the network fair for all travellers.
4. Abnormal usage
We and the network operators monitor usage patterns. Repeated use of most of a plan's data in a very short time, long-term use in one country, or use in non-phone devices may be treated as abnormal. In that case we may limit speed, suspend or cancel the eSIM, and refuse future orders.
5. Local laws
You must follow the laws of the country you are in. Some countries restrict certain online services or require SIM registration. You are responsible for your use of the internet through our plans.
6. Reporting abuse
To report misuse, contact us through the live chat in the Waysim app, at support.waysim.co or at support@waysim.co.
